Interview with Senior Designer Lauren Rogers

Lauren Rogers is a 27 year New Jersey native. Lauren says that fashion has been a part of her life since she was a little girl. She likes to re-use and recycle and to re-interpret designs.

SV: What does fashion mean to you?

LR: It’s fun and enjoyable. You get to experiment with all types of materials and shapes.

SV: What was the hardest part of putting your collection together?

LR: I would definitely say sewing is the hardest part. Sometimes the machines get so fussy and it’s very time-consuming. Even though sewing can be tricky at times, it is so rewarding to see the end results.

SV: Who is your favorite designer?

LR: Michael Kors inspires me so much. His creativity is tied in with simplicity. His pieces are so classy and elegant.

SV: Tell me about your collection!

LR: I used vintage recycled items and turned it into an old hollywood understated glamour type of theme!
