The judges for the RUNWAY 2.0 show were Nancy Belfer [left, sponsor of the Nancy Belfer Senior Collection Award], David Tanner, Corey Moran, Joan Fedyszyn, Danae Dade and Mindy Shine. The award announcement took place after the evening show at the the post show reception.
A quote from Nancy,
“When I think about the RUNWAY 2.0 performance last Saturday night, only superlatives come to mind. The production was so professional, thanks to Erin, so exciting and at times so outrageous. But best of all, the STUDENTS. Thanks to David and Elaine. Each gave their very best….it was so heartfelt and joyous! They were all winners and the enthusiastic response of the audience left no doubt about it.”
The jury was tied for the RUNWAY 2.0 award winner so they split the $1000.00 award to the following two student designers: Julia Oakes and Ti Zhou.
Congratulations to Julia and Ti!

The evening show was perfect. I arrived at 7:30 pm and went up to the VIP reception. It was lovely. I passed through the silent auction area where there was a large variety of items to choose from. The VIP area had the Cinderella Shoe exhibit to view.
At about 8:30pm I walked down to locate a seat in the first row midway so I could get a different perspective from the 4PM show. The lighting for both shows was absolutely spectacular. Ted Pietrzak came out to start the show right on time. The student portion of the show was pure excellence. I am so totally proud of all of the fashion students that participated in making this show such a success for both the Burchfield and the fashion program. Erin Habes and David Brinson’s classes as well as the Burchfield and college administrative support were absolutely crucial to the high quality level to this years show. Kudos to all who worked towards a common goal.
