Senior Spotlight: Angela Harrison

The theme for Runway 10 is Remember Imagine, which encourages everyone to look at the past and remember where we started, so we are able to look towards the future and what we can achieve. Leading up to the show, we will be focusing in on each of our senior designers and learning about the road that lead them to where they are now. The first designer we will be spotlighting on is Angela Harrison.

Runway 10: Introducing Our Senior Designers

This year is the 10th anniversary of Buffalo State’s Fashion and Textile Technology’s runway show. The theme is Remember Imagine, because to embrace the future, we must remember our past. This show is all about looking back at past Runways that made this show what it is today. The extravagance that is Runway 10 will empower fashion students of yesterday, today, and tomorrow to remember where we have been, and imagine what the future holds.

The designers’ inspiration for this show came from WGSN’s Spring/Summer 2018 trend forecast: Slow Futures, Kinship, Psychotropical, and Tonic. Slow Futures is about remembering the past in order to imagine the future. Kinship is about cultures and collectives, both real and virtual, that forge an increased sense of community. Psychotropic explores an idealized nature of the future. Finally, Tonic analyses the youth of culture influencing every area of the market with rebellion and individuality.
